Waiting on a friend

It's six PM, and the sky is getting darker here at my spot at the college. I work my fingers to the bone, two-to-six, Monday-to-Friday, and sometimes I don't notice that the sky is suddenly black and that I have to hit the road.

Tonight, I'm waiting on a friend, though. Camille and Berrini, Cyn, Fab and Vince are coming to the college to meet me and Luis. We're going to see "Gladiator" at the cinema and then we'll have a pizza. Probably Camille will diss some teachers (she, Luis, Vince and I study/ied at the same place), Vince will talk about his troubles with the soap operas (he writes them for a major TV channel here in Brazil) and probably Cyn and I will speak about the fellas at our class (we study together).

You know, I love these days and I love these guys. I just wish they dropped by more often. But we are growing up, I am afraid. Camille and Berrini are working ( and saving money for their wedding), so they can't come very often. Vince is always up to his neck with things to deliver, so he can't come too very often. And Fab, my friend of high school that I introduced to Vince, she's studing at another city and she can't come to here too often. And Cyn doesn't work, doesn't live at another city - she just lives too far from everybody and she doesn't have a car.

Well, tonight we will see the "Gladiator" and then we will have pizza. And the future, well, I better think about it when I'm alone. It's healthier.
