Angel and me
( just because you don't see me... )
Morning was dawning
and I was alone
and I heard someone whisper at the door.
He said, "Just because you don't see me,
doesn't mean I am not here.
I am your angel,
I can protect you
if you only could let me do it."
My eyes were open, I stared null
where did the man with the soft voice was?
But I could not see a soul,
but I could hear his voice,
and I said out loud...
"If you are my angel -
if you are an angel!
Let me see you!"
He laughed soflty, "Where there's a will
there is always a way.
If you are the one to see me,
your eyes will find a way."
I looked and I looked
and still I saw nothing but the wall.
I thought I was mad and went back to sleep,
but thoughts of him crossed my head.
Hell! Next time he's here
I'll ask about myself!
